Michelle Malkin: Read This - You'll Be a Much Happier Woman
Democratic Underground Forums - A DU Thread in Unabashed Support of Our Troops:
Michelle:
I know the American-hating liberals really get you down. As a liberal, I can attest to the fact that we are like black holes of cynicism and negativity. Nowhere has this been more apparent than in the liberal's shameful lack of support for the troops. I cannot imagine how exhausting it must be for you, a Holy Warrior for the Republican Party, to have to wage ideological war with us day after day after day after day.
But Michelle, I have some good news. Good news for me, good news for you and best of all, good news for the troops.
The Democratic Underground - the website that every liberal plugs into thrice daily to download the current set of socialist-leaning, Bush-bashing, terrorist-loving talking points, has had a mysterious shift in dogma:
In their own words - are you sitting down? - "Unabashed Support of Our Troops."What does this mean?
Well, the troops no longer have to worry about longhaired dope-smoking liberals spitting on them at airports when they come home from Iraq on leave. They no longer have to worry about having ROTC buildings burned on college campuses. It marks an end to speeches by Democratic politicians here on the home front that undermine the War on Terror while emboldening the enemy. In short, with these new marching orders from DU, where previously a military mistake would have invited sniping and scorn from my colleagues and me, unconditional support is is now king.
Michelle, this is just you and me talking now... I know that with your charm, influence and connections you consider Washington to be sort of a "general store..." I know that your primary concern these days is bringing this politically wounded country together under one banner of non-partisanship and freedom in a time of war. You can tell me... Did you pull some strings on The Hill to force this about-face with the Dems? If you did - rats off to you. If you didn't... Well, I won't tell. (wink!)
