Jeb Bush: Culture of Death State Governor

Florida Expands Right to Use Deadly Force in Self-Defense

Greed and Hate Party Governor of Florida Jeb Bush signed the "Stand Your Ground" bill into law on Tuesday in Tallahassee with the NRA's Florida Lobbyist Marion at his side.
"It's common sense to allow people to defend themselves," Bush said before signing the bill. "When you're in a position where you're being threatened... to have to retreat and put yourself in a very precarious position defies common sense"
Did you get that? Attempting to retreat from a violent confrontation "defies common sense," according to Bush.

This is the new world order brought to you courtesy of the Greed and Hate Party and the NRA. They have created a world for us where we shoot first and ask questions later.

Think back across your adult life to every time you've ever felt "threatened." It's happened to all of us at least once, if not several times... Now drop your IQ by 30%, add some alcohol and a concealed handgun to the mix. What do you come up with? Presumably, since you're here today reading this the confrontation in which you felt threatened ended without bloodshed. Somehow wisdom, compassion and common sense prevailed over terminal violence.

The Negro Reduction Association (the NRA - black Americans are the overwhelmingly disproportionate victims of handgun violence) is so pleased with themselves over the new law in Florida that they have plans to spread the love to the rest of the country.
NRA Executive Vice President Wayne LaPierre said the law is the "first step of a multi-state strategy" that he hopes can capitalize on a political climate dominated by conservative opponents of gun control at the state and national levels.

"There's a big tailwind we have, moving from state legislature to state legislature," LaPierre said. "The South, the Midwest, everything they call 'flyover land' — if John Kerry held a shotgun in that state, we can pass this law in that state."
Wait a minute, Wayne. I thought that this was about protecting ones' self. When did this issue become about John Kerry?

I can hear the talking-point trolls now: "But the police stood behind the law 100%." Actually, Florida law enforcement was strongly opposed to the bill:
Criminal justice experts and many other police and prosecutors, however, disapproved. Miami Police Chief John Timoney said it encourages violence and he fears people will believe they have "total immunity from prosecution."

...

...a move that several urban police chiefs warned would give rise to needless deaths.

...

The bill was strongly opposed by those who believe it will lead to a “Wild West” situation in Florida. One opponent of the bill, Florida Rep. Dan Gelber (a former federal prosecutor), argued, “You are telling people when they are in the midst of an emotional moment … you can stand your ground until death happens.” Sarah Brady of the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence added, “Governor Bush made a huge mistake signing this law, which threatens to enable every rogue with an itchy trigger finger in Florida.” In addition, police chiefs and sheriffs of Miami, St. Petersburg, and Broward County opposed the bill...
The Republicans and the NRA are working together to force America to become a Culture of Death. The America they envision is not one of hope, peace, brotherhood and freedom. Their America resembles modern-day Baghdad - a place where everyone carries guns and disputes are handled through violence. They stand together behind a law that places their seal of approval on the idea that conflicts should be solved through violent means.

These people are the Riders of the Apocalypse who signal the beginning of the end of our civilization. When the day arrives where everyone is carrying a gun and nobody is afraid to use them, thank our friends in the NRA and the Republican Party for looking out for the good of society as a whole.

And in the meantime, stay away from Florida.
