Bloggers' Resignations Demanded

It's only fair.

Three right-wing bloggers:

• Michelle Malkin
• Jesse Malkin
• John "Assrocket" Hinderaker

...have been beating their washtubs over the Terri Schiavo talking point memo for the past several weeks, convinced that it was a forgery put into circulation by sinister Democratic operatives. The idea that a Republican would commit to paper the very concepts that they were acting upon in a special legislative session seemed beyond comprehension to these silly people. I won't even bother taking the time linking to their specific posts on the topic - their blogs reek of finger pointing. (Jesse Malkin, btw, in case you hadn't heard, blogs at MichelleMalkin.com).

You will also recall that these same personalities were among those leading the charge calling for Dan Rather's resignation after the Texas Air National Guard Memo scandal as well as Eason Jordan's resignation after he allegedly disparged the United States military!

Since we're talking about men and women of honor here, it is natural to expect that they themselves will resign now in the same spirit that they demanded the resignations of Rather and Jordan. Powerlineblog will continue on without the Assrocket while MichelleMalkin.com, losing its blogging team, will have to shut its doors.

If they are unwilling to do this of their own volition, then we must demand their resignations.

Fellow bloggers - take the time to create a post to this effect on your own blog. Enough is enough. We're only asking for these "people" to follow the same standard they apply to other public figures. It is fair. It is the right thing to do.

Michelle, Jesse and Assrocket - we demand your resignations.
