This is probably what will survive as "the truth" about Tiananmen or "6/4" as it's known in China. The Butcher of Beijing seems to me to be a good nickname for Li. I wonder how he can sleep at night? "Just following orders" may sound good, but I doubt it makes him feel much better about that with which he was involved.
